Floriography - The language of flowers
Floriography is a coded means of communication, more commonly referred to as the language of flowers. According to the Royal Horticultural Society, it's a practice that dominated Victorian culture in England and the US. It allowed emotional intimacy to flourish where it may have otherwise been repressed.
Despite being largely forgotten for decades, floriography is steadily gaining popularity once more.
Iris - named after the Greek goddess Iris, known as
the messenger of the gods. This connection with the divine made the iris flower
a symbol of purity, wisdom, and inspiration.
